Dress Vintage to Impress
Our souls scream in despair seeing flimsy, cheap dollar store and Amazon knowing they will be discarded in a day. Let's delve into our creativity and do better for our planet!
Make a plan for what you and your family want to be and first check your closets for pieces you can utilize. Next, make a list of the key items you need and head to the local second-hand store!
Love witches? Find a black, plum or emerald dress a lacy shawl (or table runner - no one will know!) and add a big hat or stuffed-cat headpiece. Use black heels or shoes you already own and voila!
Your kiddo wants to be an elf? Search for all the green things you can! Unicorn dreams? Go for an item in every color and craft a horn of colorful paper at home! This time of year, thrift store will also often have pre-used costume sets, too!
Even if these items go back to the thrift store after Halloween, that's ok since they were not new and will be loved again by someone else!
